Windsurfing: Kempsey floods Worcester Wind Direction: southerly Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered:
It was another one of those lucky days where the floods were up and the
wind was blowing in a southerly direction. Arrived at the Kempsey ham
around 11am to meet Dave and Mark. The only problem was that the farmer was
moving his cows who had gathered in the corner of the field. We didnt get
on to the water until 1pm and then we had the problem of the local
twitchers complaining that we were disturbing the birds! ''Bloody idiots''!
Rigged the 6.3 as it looked a bit gusty. The others opted for 5.5. Got on
the water and found it to be well powered up. Had a great afternoon of
blasting around if a little overpowered at times! Water was freezing but
the air temperature was not bad for this time of year.
The only negative part of the day was rigging and de-rigging in a muddy
field.
